The Queen Anne's County Historical Society and Aspen Institute's Houghton House is having an Independence Day Celebration on Wed. July 4 from 11am-12:30pm. The ceremony begins with the Placing of the Wreaths at the William Paca Memorial to commemorate one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence. The keynote speaker is Dr. Cliff Coppersmith, the new President of Chesapeake College. The celebration is free and open to all.
