Ken
Collins is the General Manager and also heads up
our sales team. He has been with the station since 2006.
Ken is married and lives in Chestertown. He has become very
active in the community and is currently the Vice President
of the Kent County Chamber of Commerce. Ken is also a musician
who has formed the group "The CTR Allstars", which performs
annually at the WCTR Party in the Park.
Keith
Thompson is our morning DJ and show host for several
WCTR shows, including Today on the Shore (heard every day
from Noon to 1pm) and Lunch with the Beetles (heard every
Saturday at 12:15pm). Keith is also an accomplished musician
and song writer. He appears regularly on the Eastern Shore
with Jack The Penguin.
Andy
Moloney is "The Coach", our Sports Director
and play-by-play commentator for local sporting events,
including nationally ranked lacrosse at Washington College.
He also handles morning DJ duties at the station in the
wee hours.
Sean
Hall is the News Director and keeps our community
up to date not only with local happenings, but with statewide
and national news. Sean is a seasoned journalist, having
been in radio news for 30 years and having worked for CNN
Radio, CBS/MarketWatch, and NBC Radio/Mutual Broadcasting.
Darleen
Allwein is an account executive with WCTR, and is
a true "local" in the Chestertown community. She knows just
about everyone in Chestertown because she grew up with most
of them. She also an accomplished equestrian .
Emerson Cotton is our
board operator on weekends and for special events. That
means he knows all the right buttons to push to make sure
you can hear us when we're on the air. He's been with the
station a LOOOONG time. He is married and lives in Rock
Hall.
Mary
Gates is our 'traffic manager' (has nothing to do
with cars, but deals with placing the commercial 'traffic'
that flows through the station every day) and our bookkeeper.
If anyone at the station has a question about anything,
Mary usually has the answer.
Dick
Gelfman hosts the Friday show from 1-2 pm called
"Talk of the Town", a roundtable show in which members of
the community come in to discuss the hot topics of the week.
You never know what will be said and who will be upset,
but it's always guaranteed to be provocative.
